Full Truckloads (FTL) is the transportation of a shipment of goods that are able to fill one semi trailer or intermodal container from one customer (approx. 26 pallet spaces or 44k pounds). One of the benefits of FTL over LTL is that the shipment is generally never handled on route since the entire shipment is designated to be shipped to only one destination. Whereas a LTL shipment may have multiple stops since it is comprised of many smaller shipments within the truck. Therefore, FTL shipments can be received faster and with minimal handling.
